Nobody likes getting stood up. It sucks. Probably every girl wants a Rick Astley in their life- he'd never give you up, let you down, run around, or desert you. So since people can be real mean brats sometimes, all I have to say is that you shouldn't stand someone up, or the person you stood up may end up doing something that definitely isn't good. Sometimes, it's also alright to have just a little doubt, and it's best to be careful about where you put all your trust and love. This story starts with two lovers prepared to run away with each other. For some reason, they weren't able to openly see each other, so they wanted to run away and be together and live happily, though that obviously doesn't go as planned. They were to meet at the Lotus pond at 10:00 p.m. The girl made it, but the boy didn't. She waited for him. And waited. And waited. She waited for a couple hours but, unfortunately, he never showed up. Brokenhearted and believing that the boy didn't love her and didn't want to be with her, she threw herself into the pond and drowned. There is another version of this story where she sees him with a female classmate and, like the other version, threw herself into the pond and drowned. Years later, a boy was waiting for his girlfriend late at night. They wanted to go out and do something, but why they wanted to go out so late is beyond me. Since the boy arrived a little early, he was left waiting for the girl. Then, he heard a voice.
"Didn't I tell you to meet me at midnight?" A female voice asked him.
"No," He said before a he was grabbed from the water and pulled in.
The next day, his body was found in the pond. He had drowned. Now, there's a sort of unspoken rule about the Lotus pond. If you are at the Lotus pond late at night and you hear a girl ask you something, do not talk to her. Don't even look at her, unless you want to be found dead in the pond the next day.
