Nobody likes getting stood up. It sucks. Probably every girl wants a Rick Astley in their life- he'd never give you up, let you down, run around, or desert you. So since people can be real mean brats sometimes, all I have to say is that you shouldn't stand someone up, or the person you stood up may end up doing something that definitely isn't good. Sometimes, it's also alright to have just a little doubt, and it's best to be careful about where you put all your trust and love. This story starts with two lovers prepared to run away with each other. For some reason, they weren't able to openly see each other, so they wanted to run away and be together and live happily, though that obviously doesn't go as planned. They were to meet at the Lotus pond at 10:00 p.m. The girl made it, but the boy didn't. She waited for him. And waited. And waited. She waited for a couple hours but, unfortunately, he never showed up. Brokenhearted and believing that the boy didn't love her and didn't want to be with her, she threw herself into the pond and drowned. There is another version of this story where she sees him with a female classmate and, like the other version, threw herself into the pond and drowned. Years later, a boy was waiting for his girlfriend late at night. They wanted to go out and do something, but why they wanted to go out so late is beyond me. Since the boy arrived a little early, he was left waiting for the girl. Then, he heard a voice.
"Didn't I tell you to meet me at midnight?" A female voice asked him. "No," He said before a he was grabbed from the water and pulled in. The next day, his body was found in the pond. He had drowned. Now, there's a sort of unspoken rule about the Lotus pond. If you are at the Lotus pond late at night and you hear a girl ask you something, do not talk to her. Don't even look at her, unless you want to be found dead in the pond the next day.

Buses. When I think of buses, I usually think of a lonely place with only a few people inside waiting to get to their destination. I, myself, have never liked buses since those places aren't the cleanest places to be. However, no matter how much one dislikes the thought of riding a bus, I don't think anyone thinks of ghosts and death when they think of that word. This story, as you can tell by the title, takes place late at night, probably midnight or somewhere around that time. A man gets onto the bus and waits for a while. The bus is pretty empty. There's only a few other people with him. The bus picks up another person, who boards, and eventually, the person begins to interact negatively with our main guy. There are different versions of the story here, but they all end the same. In some versions, it's a man who accuses our man of something and challenges him to a fight off the bus. In other version, an old woman accuses the man of taking something from her purse and they both fight to the point where the bus driver orders them off the bus. Once they both get off the bus, the man demands to know why the old man/old woman accused him of something that he didn't do. The elder replied by saying, "I saved both of our lives."
When the man asked what the elder meant, the elder explained that they got a strange feeling from two very shady passengers, and kept looking back at them. The elder caught a glimpse under one of the person's trenchcoat or robe, which briefly went up. There was nothing there. Of course, this person could have been an amputee that lost their legs in an accident or something, but the elder wasn't having any of that, so they decided to get off the bus and bring one of the people that they knew was an actual living person. This is where the story splits, once again. In one version, the bus disappears when they never call in. The bus and the passengers are never seen again, and no footage or trace of the bus is ever found. In the other version, like the first version above, the bus goes missing and nothing is found for a little bit. Then, a couple days later in a lake, they find the bus. Inside are the bodies of two passengers and the driver, all of them very badly decomposed. One of the men found was unidentified. It also should've been impossible to decompose that badly and that quickly. Although it was warm/hot, and they were found in a lake, the rate of decomposition was incredible. The bus was also never found on any footage or traffic cameras. The bus could have not gotten to that location without being spotted, but there was still no footage. How it got there is unknown. Regardless, this urban legend is supposed to be true. All I can really say is that some people are just trying to help you even if you don't see it. Having no friends is sad. Having a ghost friend may be sadder. Or a lot more traumatizing and scary. Either option can possibly have negative outcomes. To get it over with, I'll just state the moral now: Be considerate about people's feelings. If they show you something personal, or if they finally show you something that they didn't want to show you, don't run away or do something stupid. I mean, sure, sometimes we act without thinking, which is not very good, as I previously stated in my previous post. Luckily, this story doesn't end with a ghost whose face and scalp was torn off. It starts off with a boy walking home from school one late night. He passed by a park and saw a girl sitting, alone, on the swing. Eventually, he talked to her and they became friends. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. He saw a picture of the girl one day. She was the daughter of his mother's friend. However, his mother's friend tragically died in a car crash, before he even met her. Although her body was mostly in one piece, she was missing just one, little, tiny thing- her pinky finger. Obviously sp00ked, the boy met the girl at the usual place. He demanded to see her hands, but she refused. After a lot of trying to see her hand, she finally gave in and showed him. His fears about having a ghost friend were confirmed when he saw that she was missing her little finger. Terrified, the boy fled. The next day, he didn't see her. He didn't see her the day after that, either. In fact, he never saw her again. A little sad, if you ask me.
There are obvious pros and cons of long hair. On the good side of long hair, you get to do all kinds of stuff with your hair, and it looks nice. On the bad side, you could get your hair stuck in a great many things, including the rails of a train track, which can end with your scalp and face getting ripped off, resulting in an agonizing and terrifying death. Fun, right? In the rather unfortunate case of a Chinese girl running away with her not-so great boyfriend, the cons of long hair is what makes her meet her untimely end. The sad thing is that the boyfriend didn't even care, or come back for her. What a jerk. This story takes place nearby a university in Hong Kong. The girl was an illegal immigrant. Some say that she saw a police officer checking passports, causing her to panic. Another version says that she got into an argument with her boyfriend. Either way, the girl ends up jumping out of the train, and her braid gets caught in the window frame. Not only did her scalp get ripped off, but the skin on her face did, too. She managed to make it to a road nearby the train tracks before collapsing and dying. Some time later, a male student was walking home one night when he saw a girl from behind with a single braid. To us, this is no mystery girl, but to him, it was. When he approached her and she turned around, she had no face. No mouth, no ears, no eyes, no nose, nothing. In other versions of this story, there is a braid on/in front of her faceless face instead. Back to the topic, after seeing this, she reportedly disappeared into thin air. So far, only male students have been able to see this girl. The reason why is unknown, but regardless, you might think that the moral of the story is to not grow your hair out or something like that. Since this whole thing is supposed to follow Shaffer's guideline of "helping teens," I should start putting the morals on a more serious note. Don't make rash and sudden decisions without thought. Ever. If you're panicking, take a deep breath and calm yourself down. You might end up as a sp00ky ghost starring in a gruesome urban legend if you don't properly think things through.
Ah, make-up. It's this magical product that enhances someone's beauty or good looks, or makes them look like something they aren't, such as an alien or something similar to that, which is alright as well. However, under all those endless piles of make-up, you're still you no matter what. That's a good thing, right? Usually it is, unless you find that the person you were romantically interested in turns out to be a demon under all those layers of make-up. In the unfortunate case of one man, his kindness is what causes a whole lot of trouble. This man finds a very beautiful, but homeless, woman on the street and, feeling pity for her, decides to take her home. Eventually, the man begins to fall in love with this woman and one day, when he's out, a priest tells him that there is evil in his home. Not believing some obviously crazy holy man who doesn't know what he's talking about, the man does not believe him and goes home. However, being a little concerned, this man decides to go Peeping Tom and discovers, to his horror, that the priest was right. The girl is not really human, but instead doesn't have a face and is completely featureless. The man saw as the Devil sat above the demon, painting the attractive features onto her face. There is another version where this man was married and had an affair with his wife on this demon in disguise. When he saw her true form, which was a hideous demon, she was painting her attractive features onto a mask made of human skin. He went to the priest to help, and the priest gave him a charm that would ward off the demon. When the demon found out about this, she grew angry and ripped the man's heart out. How helpful. The priest later kills the demon and tells the wife, who desperately wishes to bring her husband back to life despite his unfaithful ways, to visit a crazy beggar at the marketplace. When she meets with this beggar, he is extremely rude to her, but despite this, she patiently persists. Eventually (brace yourselves, reader; this is the seriously gross part) the beggar spits into her mouth and tells her to swallow it. Ashamed, the woman goes home, but she begins to feel something rise in her throat. That thing ended up being a heart, which she coughed up, put into her husband's chest. She sewed it up, and her husband came back to life. For this version, I think that the moral is to not give in so easily to lust/love. The man fell in lust/love with the girl who he barely knew, and it turned out she wasn't at all what he thought she was. The wife brought shame upon herself to restore an unfaithful husband that was probably better off dead anyways.
